Welcome

The FriendsCCPR hope you enjoy the many wonderful spaces and activities Cecil County has to offer as much as we do.

We are passionate about open spaces, great amenities, and well-renowned facilities!

Our local parks and open spaces are spaces where people can always find respite and restoration. Every age group in our community has benefited from the amazing accomplishments our parks and recreation professionals have achieved over the last decade. From those who simply need some fresh air in easily accessible open spaces, to our youth who need safe spaces for exercise and play with others, the value of our county parks is proven every day. How fortunate we are!

The partnership with Cecil County Public Schools allows rentals of the sports fields at our local high schools. Circuit sports and tournament programs at Calvert Regional Park adds an immense economic benefit to our community. Sports tourism welcomes families from all over the country to visit our beautiful county and millions of dollars into our local economy.

The myriad offerings from art programs to yoga, dance to walking all play a critical role of ensuring everyone in Cecil County has active healthy lifestyles.

Beyond sports fields, walking trails, and playgrounds; access to open waterways are an essential component of living here in Cecil County. The FriendsCCPR reminds everyone to explore every opportunity to enjoy our Parks & Rec watersports inlets, fishing spots, and launch ramps throughout the county.

“The Friends of Cecil County Parks and Recreation gives the residents of the town of Elkton the ability to see some of the finest facilities of the county. The reclamation of Brantwood Park is not only an asset for the town of Elkton but for the entire county and every year it gets better and better thanks to the efforts of the Friends of the Cecil County Parks and Rec.”
